Honor Charter
We are the professional bodies that are members of the gathering of
Sudanese professionals, powers and political parties, as we consider with
consideration and appreciation the experience of joint action within the forces
of freedom and change in resisting the defunct rescue system, and realizing
that one of the most important reasons for the success of the glorious December
revolution and its victory is the unity of the resistance center, under the
umbrella of a declaration Freedom and change, and affirming that the experience
of political, civil and unified union forces has produced many positives and
are accompanied by negatives of the interest of the signatories of this
charter, and looking forward to developing and strengthening our political and
union experience, and to giving more opportunities in favor of successfully
completing the tasks of the transitional period.
We deeply hope to accompany trade union reform for peace and democratic transformation. We adhere to the provisions of this Charter among ourselves:
- The parties and political forces signed in their programs and work plans are committed to guaranteeing democracy and independence of trade union action, and distancing it from politicization in favor of the political destinations of the parties, and working to ensure that trade union organizations express the interests of their rules in particular and the general national interest in general. Whereas, the professional bodies that sign the Charter agree to the same commitment in their professional and union work.
- The parties, political forces and professional bodies that are members of this charter respect the independence of the Sudanese professionals and their nationality, and work to ensure that they represent the interests of the bodies and their bases, and do not allow partisan political interference in the work of the professionals, or try to penetrate its nationality, professionalism, and independence.
- The political parties and professional bodies that are members of this charter are committed to working towards accomplishing the tasks of the transitional period, with a unified national spirit, supporting the institutions of governance of the existing transitional period and completing the structures of transitional period governance and supporting them in a manner that achieves the goal of achieving peace and democratic transition.
- The parties, political forces, and member professional bodies shall abide by the unity of the forces of freedom and change on the most objective and developing its organizational experience to accommodate the signatories of the Declaration of Freedom and Change and ensuring its expression of their interests and to develop its political performance in a manner that achieves the goals and tasks of the transitional period.
- The signatories of this charter are obligated to work for the proper establishment of the country’s trade union architecture by licensing the trade union law, and to work for the formation of free and democratic unions that derive their legitimacy from the rules, based on the constitutional document and the provisions of the law after it is passed, and work to preserve and guarantee trade union and professional freedoms and rights.
